BRISTOL, TN (February 14, 2018) — In December 2017, Arbico East held a fundraiser for Speedway Children’s Charities, a non-profit organization that helps provide funding for children’s charities across the country. Through our guests’ generous one-dollar donations, we were able to raise $11,866 for the non-profit. On Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in the O. Bruton Smith Building at Bristol Motor Speedway, we presented the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities with the check.
The Bristol Chapter helps fund local organizations such as Niswonger Children’s Hospital, YWCA Bristol, Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House, Small Miracles Equestrian Center, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, and many more.
We want to thank you, our guests, for your generous donations to this great cause. Your one-dollar donations are making a difference in the lives of children in our region.

BRISTOL, TN (January 25, 2018) — Arbico East would like to acknowledge four of its restaurants that recently received Arby's A.C.E. (Arby's Certification of Excellence) award during the Arby's Operations Review.
The Triple A.C.E. designation is awarded to restaurants that achieve an “A” rating in the Guest Experience, Food Safety, and Arby’s Standards categories of the Arby’s Operations Review. The A.C.E. award is a benchmark that stores across the nation strive for, and four Arbico stores recently received it: South Roan, North Roan, Greeneville, and Colonial Heights, who was the first Arby’s restaurant to receive it in 2018.
JOHNSON CITY, TN (January 12, 2018) — One of Arbico East's locations, South Roan, was recently recognized for receiving a second 100% score on its mystery shop.
To help ensure a quality experience for its guests, Arby's periodically employs under-cover mystery shoppers to visit its stores unannounced. Mystery shoppers order food, ask questions, and, after their visit, give detailed feedback of their experience.
Out of more than 3,000 locations, only 283 Arby's received two 100% scores on their recent mystery shops, and we at Arbico East are thrilled—and proud—that South Roan was included in that select group.
BRISTOL, TN (December 1, 2017) – TriCities Arby's© announced the winner of its 35th Anniversary “WE HAVE THE MEATS™” impersonation contest, which was held in celebration of Arbico East’s 35th year in the TriCities. Arbico East asked its guests to showcase and submit via online video their best "ARBY’S©: WE HAVE THE MEATS™" impersonation for a chance to win free Arby's© for a year.
The Grand Prize winner was LeeLee Williams, from Johnson City, TN. Williams is an automotive finance manager at Johnson City Honda and is known as “The Network King” for his work in the entertainment industry. Williams received 52 VIP cards, each valid for a free Arby's© meal. He now has the bragging rights of being the official TriCities Arby’s “WE HAVE THE MEATS™” representative.
“Thank you all so much for this great opportunity,” Williams told Arbico East, adding that he loves the food at Arby's©, especially the Beef ‘n Cheddar sandwiches and Apple Turnovers. He said that while he will certainly use the VIP cards on himself, he also plans to be generous with his winnings: “I’m going to share this with some people, pay it forward, stuff like that.”
The contest’s runners-up were Doris Luckadoo, from Kingsport, TN, and Charlene Brooks, from Greeneville, TN.
Luckadoo, a self-proclaimed faithful customer of Arby's© for twelve years, noted that her granddaughter, Erika Neely, was particularly happy about her grandmother’s being a runner-up. “She’s the reason I go to Arby’s 3-4 times a week,” Luckado said. “She won’t eat anywhere else since she was about 2.”
Brooks said, too, that her sons, who were featured in her contest submission video, were very excited about being named a runner-up.
We at Arbico East thank our winner, our runners-up, and everyone who participated in the contest. We appreciate the opportunity we’ve had to serve this area for the last 35 years and look forward to many more years of service in the TriCities.

In recognition of Make a Difference Day—a national day of service supported in part by the Arby’s Foundation—a group of volunteers from Arbico East visited Small Miracles Therapeutic Equestrian Center on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
Small Miracles is a non-profit therapeutic facility in Kingsport, Tenn., whose mission, as stated on the center’s website, is “to enhance the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth of persons with special needs and disabilities by means of equine-assisted activities and therapies.” The center serves over 300 students per year in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
Small Miracles currently houses 12 horses, known collectively as the “Miracle Herd.” The members of the Miracle Herd serve as motivators and companions to the students that the center serves, and each horse is a vital member of the team.
Guided by Executive Director Sherri Russell and Equine, Barn, and Facility Manager J.R. Russell, Arbico volunteers tended to the Miracle Herd’s needs, feeding the horses, brushing them, and leading them from their stables to a hilly lot spacious enough for them to gallop and graze. The volunteers also helped with facility maintenance by sweeping the floors, cleaning stables, washing food receptacles, and fetching fresh hay.
“We had a great time at Small Miracles!” said Chelsea Smith, Staff Accountant at Arbico East and one of Arbico’s volunteers on Saturday. “It was an awesome opportunity to give back to a program with a meaningful cause.”
“Small Miracles does an important service for our community,” said Isaac Ratliff, Marketing Assistant at Arbico East and another of Arbico’s volunteers. “It was a pleasure to serve an organization with such a compassionate mission.”

BRISTOL, TN (October 20, 2017) – Arby’s dared to go where no restaurant chain had gone before when it launched a limited-edition Venison Sandwich in five select hunting-centric states last year. Participating restaurants sold out of the sandwich within hours, and the unique offering generated an outpouring of requests from hunters and meat lovers across the country hoping to try Arby’s take on venison.
That hunt will end October 21, when Arby’s Venison Sandwich returns, this time at every Arby’s restaurant in America, including all restaurants in the TriCities. The sandwich will be available while supplies last (100 per restaurant) – and they are expected to go quickly.
“The positive response to our limited offering of venison last year was so widespread and passionate that we knew we had to find a way to offer it nationwide,” said Jim Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer of Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc. “On October 21, we want hunters and meat enthusiasts across the country to visit their local Arby’s and enjoy this amazing sandwich.”
Arby’s Venison Sandwich features a thick-cut venison steak and crispy onions topped with a juniper berry sauce on a toasted specialty roll. The venison is marinated in garlic, salt and pepper and then sous-vide for three hours to juicy, tender perfection. The juniper berry sauce is a Cabernet steak sauce infused with juniper berries, giving the already unique sandwich another signature twist.
